The sun
The solar system is made of all the planets the orbit the sun. The solar system also has moons, stars, comets, gasses, dust and many other things.Every thing in the solar system orbits or revolves around the sun.The sun has around 98% of all the material in the solar system. The larger an object is, the more gravity it has.Because the sun is so large , its powerful gravity attracts all the other objects in the solar system towards it. At the same time, these objects, which are moving rapidly, try to fly away from the sun but the sun pulls them back which makes them stay half way in between for eternity. |

The moon
The moon is the easiest object to see in the night sky. There are different ways people think the moon was created, but recently scientists think that a huge chunk of the earth was pulled away. The moon is 4.53 billion years old. The moon is earth's only permanent natural satellite. It is one of the biggest natural satellite in the solar system.

Milky way
The milky way is the galaxy that our solar system is in. Its name is from its appearance its dim glowing light arching through the night sky.One third of the world can't see milky way because of air pollution. The milky is 13.2 years old. The milky is shaped like a huge whirl pool that rotates once every 200 million years. It is made up of at least 100 billion stars, as well as gas and dust. Its so big that light takes 100 000 years to cross from one side to the other.

Pluto
Pluto orbits beyond the orbit of Neptune. It is much smaller than all of the official planets and now classified as a "dwarf planet". Pluto is smaller than seven of the solar system moons(the moon, Lo, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, Titan and Triton.Pluto is 5,913,520,000 km from the sun and its diameter is 2372 km. Pluto was discovered in 1930 by a fortunate accident

Conclusion
Our solar system is an exciting place full of planets, comets, dust, stars, asteroids, moons and many more. There are 8 planets in total, many moons and only one sun.
